Geocomposites are multi-layered combinations of geosynthetics that provide benefits over individual layers by enhancing drainage, protection, reinforcement, filtration and barrier functions.

GeoTextiles are permeable fabrics embedded into the soil to help separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or drain. There are two main types of geotextiles that each support different applications: woven and non-woven (needle punched or heat bonded). The key difference between the two types is the way they are threaded or manufactured, as well as the specific applications they are used for. The key fibers used in geotextiles are polypropylene (PP), polyester, polyamide, and polyethylene (PE, PET, HDPE), but can also include fiberglass and carbon fiber.

Geosynthetics also offer geogrid, geocell, and geotextile solutions for road construction and rehabilitation, addressing soft soil conditions, managing drainage, and providing overall reinforcement to the pavement system. Geotextile pavement interlayers (road fabrics) help significantly reduce reflective cracking when resurfacing concrete, asphalt or composite pavement systems, and can easily extend the service life of a road 20-50% depending on project conditions.
